Richard is an artist whose work crosses many boundaries from educational arts residencies to public art installation, from mosaics to painting, via creative play landscapes, he is an aduly art tutor and his greatest love (apart from his children, schmaltz!) is for drawing, which he lectures in at Newcastle University. He has illustrated for publications from Iron Press to Zed"Said", and is currently working on a collaborative book "The Strangers' Book of Illustrated Conversations"

He has conducted arts workshops with children of all ages in over 380 schools, colleges and nurseries throughout the country.
